About this course

Join Dr Rob Yeung in these three sessions aimed at helping you succeed in interviews:

Succeeding at job interviews: essential advice for making an impact and getting hired
This session is aimed at providing a strong foundation for less experienced job hunters such as students and early-stage professionals. Research suggests that the vast majority of jobs require eight essential, non-technical skills.
So, it is important that you can explain to interviewers why you have these crucial skills.

In this practical new session, you will also learn about the hidden traps in seemingly straightforward questions such as ‘Tell us about yourself’ and ‘What are you looking for in a job?’ and how to answer them well.

Succeeding at job interviews (part 2): essential advice for conveying your personality and confidence
Interviewers don't want to hire just technically competent candidates – they also want candidates they will enjoy working or even socialising with. In this engaging and practical session, you will discover how to use your words, voice and body language to demonstrate your motivation, warmth, and interpersonal skills.
You will also learn psychological techniques for reducing nervousness and making a more confident impression.

Succeeding at job interviews (part 3): essential advice for answering frequently asked interview questions
Most interviewers ask a relatively small number of questions including 'Tell me about yourself', 'What are your strengths and weaknesses?' and 'What are your salary expectations?'
In this session, Dr Rob Yeung will provide specific advice on answering over 20 of the most widely asked interview questions.
